Fundraisers are a great way to raise money for the causes you care about. You could set one up to commemorate your birthday, your wedding, the marathon you’re about to run, to remember a loved one, or for any other reason you can think of!
Follow our 4 simple steps for successful fundraising.
1. Decide on your event
There’s a fundraising event for everyone. Would you like to be the star of your fundraising or share the glory as part of a group? What are you good at and how could you challenge yourself? You could use this as an opportunity to try something you’ve always wanted to.
2. Set up a fundraising page
Simply set up your fundraising page on Just Giving and select Roseline Ebunobi Foundation as your charity. It’s really easy – either login with Facebook or sign up with your email. You can even connect with you friends to see what fundraising they’re doing.
3. Spread the word
Let your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram followers know what you have planned, and how you’re helping such a great cause. Keep them updated with how preparations are going and, of course, how they can donate to you!
Please keep us updated on your event by using the hashtags #ref, #refoundation or #refng on your social posts. We love seeing your pictures and all the great fundraising you’re doing.
4. Pay in your money
Sending us the funds you’ve raised is simple! Just pay the donations into your own account, and then make your fundraising donation online.
Donate Time and Skills
One of the best and simplest things you can do to help a charity is by giving your time. “Nonprofits need people “Everybody is good at something. REFoundation is looking forward for your time & skills.
REFoundation can always use professional services assistance, people to help with legal work, accounting, graphic design, writing, etc. but even if you don’t have those skills, REFoundation need people willing to give time to support their mission, whether that’s being a mentor to a kid looking to get into college, offering free tutoring, or preparing food at a food bank.
Volunteering is a great way to contribute your time and skills to a cause close to your heart. You can volunteer on your own, with friends and family or with work colleagues, and make a difference in our Foundation.
Donate Equipment and Supplies
REFoundation are always in need of the basic supplies, such as diapers, underwear, socks, shoes, pajamas and other clothing. Some items that may be taken for granted seem like a luxury to children in orphanages, such as televisions, radios, books, electronics and sports equipment. Medical supplies are also helpful, including first aid kits, IV tubing, gauze, vitamins, cortizone creams and antibiotic ointment. At REFoundation we tend to provide all that we can through your donations and sponsorship in areas of Equipment Supplies:
– School Necessities
Many organizations realize the importance of educating their youth, so they may need school supplies to help children finish their education. Donate items such as binders, pens, pencil sets and backpacks. Children will also make use of notebooks, rulers, crayons, markers, calculators and paper.
– Household Needs
An orphanage must function as a large home for children without other guardians, so they must have all the basic essentials of a home. Potential donations include surge protectors, extension cords and light bulbs. Cleaning supplies are gratefully accepted, as are antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer. Beds, blankets, sheets and pillows are also useful donations.
– Land and Sustainability
Land donated to REFoundation is put to good use. Sending a fruit tree to an orphanage creates a sustainable and renewable resource. Farmers who have older equipment may prefer to donate this equipment so the orphanage can tend to the donated land. Other donations include chickens, cattle, feed and seeds that provide renewable sources of food.
– Donations for Services
Many children have to go without the basic medical services they need in orphanages or other types of group homes. A donation for these services can have a tremendous impact on a child’s health. Donate a certificate for free medical services to the REFoundation. Prepay the costs for children to receive dental services, and contact dentists to find some who are willing to provide volunteer services to children at the orphanage.
